About Scott Sevcik
Director, Advisory Services and Strategic Solutions

Scott Sevcik is the Director, Advisory Services and Strategic Solutions at Wohlers Associates, powered by ASTM International. In this role, he is responsible for leading customer engagement, planning, and execution of Wohlers Associates advisory projects as well as representing the organization externally.

Sevcik came to Wohlers Associates after a decade focused on the advancement of additive manufacturing technologies and business models to accelerate the transition of 3D printing from prototyping to manufacturing. Most recently, Scott led Prospect Dynamics where he advised startups and investment firms on additive manufacturing strategy. Prior to that, at Stratasys, Scott helped industrialize FDM technology by leading or participating in projects that brought about improved repeatability, material traceability, advanced materials, and open systems. He put those advancements into practice helping build AM Craft into an aviation aftermarket supplier. Over this period, Scott became a recognized expert in polymer additive manufacturing applications for aerospace and defense and was a frequent conference speaker, media interviewee, and blog writer. Sevcik was featured in an episode of CNBC’s “IOT Powering the Digital Economy” discussing the impact of additive manufacturing.

Prior to his shift into additive manufacturing, Sevcik’s career spanned the corners of the aerospace and defense industry developing products for both air and space and on both commercial and defense platforms. From systems engineering, business development, and technical leadership roles at Lockheed Martin to project and program management roles at United Technologies Aerospace Systems (now Collins Aerospace), Scott built a reputation of steady leadership and exceptional results. Sevcik’s contributions to the industry are now flying on every modern commercial and business aircraft as well as in orbit.
