Wohlers to Discuss Developments that will Forever Change the Moldmaking Industry

FORT COLLINS, COLORADO, USA, February 22, 2002—Industry consultant, analyst, and author Terry Wohlers, president of Wohlers Associates, Inc., will serve as the keynote speaker at the American Mold Builders Association (AMBA) annual convention in Puerto Rico. The event will be held March 3-8, 2002, at the Inter-Continental Resort in San Juan. The keynote is on Monday, March 4.

Wohlers will focus on several developments that will forever change the moldmaking industry. "Over the next few years, the moldmaking industry is expected to face sweeping changes," Wohlers said. "Computer-driven processes are having a dramatic effect on companies, causing many of them to play catch up to those leading the way," he added. "For many, moldmaking and related methods and technologies are moving at a rate that is making them uneasy. Meanwhile, others are discovering ways to benefit from the fascinating developments in software, inexpensive computers, unprecedented tools for the web, and machines that are turning their lives upside down," explained Wohlers. His keynote will also discuss what the American moldmaking industry can do to prepare for what's ahead.
